Quite simply,
producing Fine Wines

This short maxim represents a big promise for Olivier Leflaive. First of all, respecting the love of the terroir that has been handed down through the generations. Contributing to the reputation of the region, and preserving the soul and personality of the wines through a plot-based approach. But it is also the promise of embodying values and always following our convictions. It is also, and above all, the promise of sparking dreams thanks to an emotional approach to the way the wines are experienced. Hence, from the vine to the glass, the family-run winery, authentic and ancestral, has become a guarantee of quality over the past 40 years.

The family, a state of mind

Passing on the family spirit and sharing it is a vocation that the House owes to its history and heritage.

The family, a state of mind

Passing on the family spirit and sharing it is a vocation that the House owes to its history and heritage.

When Olivier, its founder, talks about the road he has travelled, he describes it as a series of chances and opportunities: the chance to be born into a Burgundy family and the opportunity to discover a life of sharing among great wines; the chance to have experienced the world of music in Paris and the opportunity it gave for some unique encounters; the chance to be in the right place at the right time and the opportunity to create his own wine house. But above all, this opportunity stems from a state of mind: being open to others, and being prepared to welcome into the family, in the broadest sense, all those who wish to join it.

More than an estate, a great House

Being a family-run wine house, means a commitment to passing on a passion while taking care of others. The estate was created in 1984, and has developed in this way ever since. While the reputation of the House has been forged on its high quality requirements, vintage after vintage, it also knows how to challenge itself to keep its promise: striving for quality, and guaranteeing its consistency.

Winemaking, a team effort

Although Maison Olivier Leflaive has grown considerably since it was founded in 1984, its philosophy has not changed, because winemaking is above all a team effort. The House bears the name of its founder Olivier Leflaive, but now employs almost 50 people. Oenologist, vineyard manager, farm workers, cellar master, cellar workers, sales staff, all share the same goal. More than merely promoting the region’s wines, the House aims to promote Burgundy and Burgundians.

Pleasure, sharing, conviviality

Maison Olivier Leflaive has always been about sharing. Right from the start, it provided facilities to welcome customers and introduce them to its wines. The creation of Table d’Olivier in 1997, Burgundy’s first table d’hôtes, underlines this commitment. Given its success and the desire of customers to stay there overnight and return with family and friends, the hotel was born. Here, guests can discover the region’s vineyards and the philosophy of the House in a unique setting.

Passing on emotions

Olivier Leflaive’s ideas have always been visionary and ambitious. From the outset, he was driven by the desire to pass on emotions, to immerse customers of the House from the vine to the glass. And so, in a gradual and considered way, adapting to its environment, the House has grown, evolving from wine to the table d’hôtes and the hotel, to restaurants, and even to Champagne.
